Suzanne Atkinson from Ontario, Canada taught us how to make this quilt block at the annual Dayton Knitting Guild retreat. Linen Stitch

Linen stitch makes flat fabric that drapes nicely. I'm making a flowing jacket called a cocoon using mostly silk yarn. The rows alternate between verigated and plain color yarns—two rows of each on an even number of stitches. Row 1: k1, sl1 with yarn in front. Row 2: p1, sl1 with yarn in back.
